THE BATTLE IS BACK. BIGGER. FIERCER. WILDER.
After the thunderous success of the 2025 edition, the Inland Battle makes its grand return to Arles and this year, everything has been turned up a notch.
New rule, new era: the reigning champion cannot defend their title the following year. And so, with panache, Inland, the outgoing champion, steps aside and will be proud to hand over the Golden Shutter Belt to whoever has the guts to come and claim it.
THE FORMAT
Three hours. Six teams. One Belt
Photographic duels in straight elimination. A hyped-up crowd voting at the top of their lungs. A jury of 5 uncompromising photography experts voting with cold blood (well, let's pray for that).
And at the helm, the legendary crowd-wreckers Sharon Cailloux and Janot le Pourri. Hold tight.
Teams go head-to-head in photographic duels, one image thrown, one image fired back. Pure visual repartee, no safety net. Each team has a computer and a screen. The best shot wins the round. First to 2 rounds advances.
Each team: 3 or 4 players, gender parity required.
On the menu: 3 quarter-finals, 2 semi-finals, a small final and a grand final.
And a wild-card — the best eliminated team from the quarters gets dragged back in. Nobody is truly dead before the end.

The deadline for applications is 10 June 2026.
Announcement of the four participating teams on social media on 15 June 2026
Participating teams must submit their 250 low-resolution images for the competition by 30 June 2026. (These images will be stored on the computer assigned to them)
Launch of the contest on 6 July 2025 at 7 pm in the ring at the Inland x Hahnemühle House, at Le Printemps, Arles
