Our member Phyllis B. Dooney’s new space, PHOTO FARM, opens on Sept. 14, 2024.
“We are a small staff of artists who aim to foster the exchange of ideas and skills. Set in a modern barn on a tree farm in Chapel Hill, NC, Photo Farm is a site of possibility. A space for making and for makers. Rooted in photographic practice, we host artists, workshops, and talks. We have an on-site darkroom and photo studio for rent. We also proudly provide a roster of artists for hire to make your portrait" , Phyllis explains.
Phyllis B. Dooney's ongoing project “The Vertigo Of Time,” was selected as a finalist for the Aftermath Grant 2021. This project presents a mosaic of the homes and histories of American families – descendants of the enslaved population of Stagville Plantation in Durham, NC.
