Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea, Yalta and Toulon, Sebastopol and Saint-Mandrier, Var and Crimea. It’s the same story of naval bases, cicadas, hot and salty horizons. In fact, Russian sailors from Kronstadt anchored in the port of Toulon 150 years ago.

You don't believe in borders, or time, or space. You shoot two rays of southern light, then you superimpose them, you complete the reflections, collect the fragments. Connect the differences. This is your story after all. And your job, to show differently.

It's like the "golden" photos of Crimea: scan black and white negatives in color mode and discover that the plastic of the film itself has a slight tint and turns golden when contrasted. An intrinsic color. A revelation, almost.
