"Unperson" series exhibited at Dajeon International Photo Festival, South Korea | Tim Franco

In November, the “Unperson” series by Tim Franco was exhibited in the Daejeon International Photo Festival, South Korea. For its first edition, the festival included South Korean artists such as SeKwon Ahn, SungMin Lee as well as international photographers such as Martin Parr, Frederik Buyckx and Daido Moriyama.

"Unperson" is a collection of portraits of North Korean defectors and their stories on their journey to freedom. For this exhibition of “Unperson”, the curation followed closely the concept of the book published in 2021, adding a documentary made about the project by Michael Beech.
