2019 National Geographic Explorer | Melanie Wenger
Mélanie Wenger is in Cape Town, South Africa until the end of January 2020. As a 2019 National Geographic Explorer, she has been working on her new tansmedia visual story #Penguinbeach.
With her team of Explorers of marine conservationists Jon Monsson, Lesley Rochat and Terry Corr, using visual arts, underwater photography and drones, she is documenting an African penguins colony threatened by mass tourism, overfishing, habitat destruction and climate change.
