"Unperson - Stories from North Korean Defectors" by photographer Tim Franco is published this month in the German photography magazine DUMMY in a 16-pages spread.
"Unperson" is a collection of portraits of North Korean defectors and their stories on their journey to freedom. To portray those defectors, Tim Franco used an analog material that is not supposed to exist: the negative of a polaroid reveals through a series of chemical purifications, resulting often in something uncertain, dirty and imperfect.
