Photographer Romain Philippon is exhibiting his work carried out for 5 years as part of the national landscape observatory, starting September 19 at the CAUE of Saint-Denis in Reunion Island. The Photographic Landscape Observatory, conducted for over 30 years in France, inherits a history of representations that links photography to planning practices. At the turn of the 90s, it introduced the monitoring of territorial developments as an objective. Since 2019, Romain Philippon has been in charge of the observatory of Reunion island, under the aegis of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, following the work started by François-Louis Athénas.
