New story on the Sea of Azov | Patrick Wack
The Sea of Azov is a sea in Eastern Europe connected to the Black Sea by the narrow Strait of Kerch and is sometimes regarded as a northern extension of the Black Sea. The sea is bounded in the northwest by Ukraine and in the southeast by Russia.
This on-going project wanders along the shores of Azov and addresses the behind the scenes of the otherwise tense geopolitical and environmental periphery of the sea: the Russian-Ukrainian conflict extends itself into the highly disputed waters of the Azov while an ecological tragedy is also unfolding.
