New photobook - WE THE PEOPLE | Myriam Abdelaziz
After living in New York City for over a decade, Myriam Abdelaziz hit the road to meet her fellow Americans and understand what it means to be a citizen of the United States. She drove about 15,000 miles and met hundreds of people that she photographed.
WE THE PEOPLE is a portrait-based documentary project recording this transnational journey and the transformative human encounters she had along the way. Her way of sharing this sense of belonging to the American family.
Discover this portrait album of Americans - from all paths of life, different backgrounds, ages, genders, ethnicities, religion, social classes, political affiliations and sexual orientations - trying to see them as one by bringing them together instead of labeling them.
