'Marie-Claude' in Festival de Photographie, Besançon | Mélanie Wenger

Photographer Mélanie Wenger is exhibiting her award-winning story about 'Marie-Claude' at the Galerie de l'Ancienne Poste in Besançon until October 30th. An exploration of exclusion, memory, and the challenges of Alzheimer's. For more than five years Mélanie Wenger questioned the power of photography as a tool for memory building a relationship with this old isolated woman in Brittany. The series is exhibited 10 years later as an homage to Marie-Claude. The series was awarded HSBC Prize for Photography in 2017. For a more comprehensive experience, a dedicated book is available at Librairie Reservoir published by Actes Sud.
