Solo-Exhibition "Zwischen Blut und Glitzer" in Bamberg, Germany | Jana Margarete Schuler
Photographer Jana Margarete Schuler presents her project “Zwischen Blut und Glitzer” (“Between Blood and Glitter”) for the first time as a solo exhibition at Kesselhaus Bamberg, Germany, from August 15 to September 7, 2025. Featuring 50 photographs, the exhibition explores themes of female empowerment through the lens of Mexican wrestling culture.
With an immersive concept that combines large-scale images, all-women live wrestling, readings, and talks, the show merges documentary and performance, creating a powerful space for resistance, ritual, and the reimagining of gender roles.
The exhibition is part of the “Verbindungslinien 2025” program by BBK Bayern, and is supported by the City of Bamberg’s cultural funding, Oberfrankenstiftung, Kunstraum JETZT!, and Kunstverein Bamberg.
The vernissage will take place on Friday, August 15, at 7:00 PM.
